Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-10-26. Plain-language summary: we collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account at any time.
What we collect
- Without an account: nothing that identifies you. Your settings and saved locations stay in your own browser. To show local information, your browser asks a geolocation service (BigDataCloud) for your approximate city, or uses your precise location only if you allow it.
- With an account: your email address; your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google; the locations and event dates you save; and your plan.
- If you pay: payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your Stripe customer and subscription IDs and your plan, never your card number.
How we use it
- To sign you in, save your locations across devices, and check them against hazards and forecasts.
- To send alerts you turn on. Webhook alerts go straight from your browser to the address you enter; we do not store them.
- To run billing and support.
We do not sell personal information, show ads, or use your data to train models.
Services we use
- Supabase (accounts and saved locations), Stripe (payments), Netlify and Cloudflare (hosting and data delivery). If product analytics is switched on, we use Plausible, which sets no cookies; we send only the name of an action (for example "location added") and coarse details such as the hazard type, never your coordinates, place names, location names or account details.
- Public data and media providers your browser connects to when you view them: weather and hazard agencies, Open-Meteo, map tile providers, YouTube (embedded video, privacy-enhanced mode) and Mastodon (public posts).
Your choices
- Delete saved locations at any time in the Locations panel.
- To delete your account and its data, email hello@zerocontainment.com from your account's address; we delete it within 30 days.
- You can clear everything stored in your browser through your browser settings.
Children
Zero Containment is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
