Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a tornado watch and warning?
A watch means conditions could produce tornadoes in the next few hours. A warning means a tornado has been seen or detected on radar: take shelter now.
Where should I shelter in a tornado?
Go to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor, away from windows. Mobile homes are not safe; go to a sturdy building.
Stay safe
Read the tornado safety guide, and keep the emergency number for where you are.
